Winning Big in Top Casinos

Blackjack is part of the casino games.

Anyone who has seen the movie War Games can tell you that “the only way to win is not to play.” In this case, the line refers to a nuclear Holocaust; however the same idea can be applied for anyone who wants to win when gambling. What most casinos won’t tell you is that the odds of winning are not in your hands. The only real way to win money is to continue betting after you have lost.

Strategies that might work at open tables in  UK Casinos might not be so statistically in favor of the player online. Most casinos ensure that the odds are in their favor; the internet works much the same way. Granted it can still be a safe game if you are playing a low stakes game. Sites like Bet365 Casino can be a great place for low stake games.

However, as any student enrolled in a statistics course can tell you, the only way to make real money is to keep doubling your previous bet. This is called the Martingale betting system. Statistically, once you win, you will win whatever you bet back plus some. Some people might cringe at the idea behind doubling the money they lost previously.

For games like black jack, the Martingale system along with card counting can be a semi-solid strategy. Most casinos tend to look down on card counting, however it isn’t technically against policy. With the growing popularity of gambling it is not difficult to imagine that casinos are now taking it up a level, where gambling becomes electronic and out of their own home.

The Long Lost Friend of Entertainment

The French Gambling Aristocracy

Casinos have been around for centuries in almost all parts of the world. In fact, there is no society that does not have a record of at least a single instance of gambling in some form of the other and casinos are no exception. Long ago, when gambling had not yet earned its distorted image, entertainment and gambling would go hand in hand. Every fair in the city or town had all kinds of games and stalls and a casino where people were free to gamble. Several important cities had saloons or casinos where passing travelers would drop in for a chat and a drink while they gambled with the regulars.

The general opinion about casinos was that it was just another form of entertainment. However, that opinion has deteriorated over the years turning gambling and casinos into objects of illegal activity. Sadly, the casino that was once entertainment’s best friend has now been forced into exile. In most countries, gambling is not recognized as legal or ethical anymore. Gambling has even been banned in some countries but it continues to flourish illegally. Closing down casinos and banning all games connected to gambling may not prove to be a successful attempt at thwarting the gambling spirit. That is why new forms of gambling pop up every now and then. People no longer yearn for casinos or other places to gamble. A simple game of cards or blackjack and a little money with just a table to sit around seems to satisfy the spirited gamblers of the new age. Perhaps, it takes more than a law to dampen the spirit of Thrill.
